When a reader asks ChatGPT or Perplexity for “the best WordPress hosting” or “how to fix a broken plugin,” the answer is synthesized from a fraction of the open web — the fraction the models can read clearly. Sites without machine-legible structure are not penalised; they are simply not invited.
